Analysing terrain data
The exposure grade does not take into account objective hazards (stone fall, seracs, etc) but only the consequences of falling.
Low Exposure (E1): Exposure is limited to that of the slope itself. Getting hurt is still likely if the slope is steep and/or the snow is hard.
Medium Exposure (E2): As well as the slope itself, there are some obstacles (such as rock outcrops) which could aggravate injury.
High Exposure (E3): In case of a fall, death is highly likely.
Extreme Exposure (E4): Certain death in the case of a fall.
Juniper Hollow is off Solitude Chair.
Take Freeway down until it makes a hard left and is heading back to the chair in a western direction.
Traverse right from here a very short distance and then turn left and ski to the base of Solitude.
The Silverado boundary line will be on your right.
Watch for trees and rocks.
It flattens out in places and towards the end so plan your line.
This is a short western facing run through the trees and is a bit of a gully in the middle.
You can find some short powder turns here.
