Description

Awe Chute is a short, double-black, wicked-steep couloir that runs into the huge meadow of Runaway (a steep bump run).

These four chutes are accessible only through a controlled gate near the top of Derailer to the right, and are some of the steepest terrain in Winter Park Resort.

Awe Chute is a little wider than the other three, and requires a short, two-minute hike to access.

It is not open very often unless there’s a good snowpack.

It gets tracked out pretty quick on a pow day.

If you’re up for this level of gnar-gnar, get there early on a big pow day.

This run requires a short hike.
