North Colter Ridge is just to the skier’s left of Buffalo Bowl.
South Pass Traverse makes two distinct switchbacks on the way to Thunder fro Sublette.
Just after the second switchback the traverse will make a sharp bend around a blind corner, this bend is the indicating point for North Colter Ridge.
Drop in here and ski a persistently steep ridge / narrow face for a couple thousand feet.
Hop on Union Pass Quad to return to the base area.
If you are in a rush, make sure you traverse hard to the skier’s left about two-thirds of the way down to avoid having to take the painfully slow Union Pass Chair.
