Description

Jaws 1 is the longest and fastest of the Jaws Chutes.

It is arguably the most aesthetic because of the tall rock walls of the out run.

It never gets sun baked or moguled.

Jaws 1 gets skied when the conditions are good, but the out run will mostly be awesome.

Jaws 1 can get sluffed out by patrol on a powder day.

Ski down Slushman's face or lift line and head North towards Diagonal and Parallel.

The entrance will be just down and right from Parallel.

There will be a couple steep turns before a 5-15ft rock crux.

Figure out how best to get over the rocks and be ready to go fast! There is still 150ft under the top crux, so keep it together.

It's best to just make two swooping GS turns in this area, before blasting out into the apron below, and scrubbing speed there.

Be careful because people could be traversing South from Diagonal and Parallel as you come screaming out.
