Description

If you find yourself at the often-crowded Park City base area in the summer and want to escape for a quick trail run, take Jenni’s Trail.

It’s a good training run to get your lungs and legs accustomed to the altitude and terrain of the Wasatch mountains. It starts with a short section of pavement but soon turns into a beautiful dirt track that winds upward through aspen groves and grassy slopes.

It takes a sustained but moderate grade up a mountainside valley, where the green swaths of several ski runs converge. This trail is shared with mountain bikers, but for uphill travel only, so there are no high-speed riders.

After about a mile and a half, Jenni’s intersects with CMG, and both trails cross an open ski slope.

CMG goes downhill, and Jenni’s continues up the mountain.

To return to the base area, turn off the narrow trail and follow a dirt road down the ski slope.

You can also take CMG to get back, but mountain bikers use that trail as a fast downhill ride.

The dirt road will deliver you efficiently to your starting point, free of bike traffic, with wide-open views the whole way. Sources: https://mtnhomeparkcity.com/jennis-trail-park-city/ https://blog.jans.com/best-trail-runs-in-park-city/
