A run of two halves - fun in the sun.

This is the major blue run on the high south facing slopes of the Briançon area.

It's wide and gentle up high but narrows considerably lower down as it goes past the bottom of the Croix Nore chairlift.

This is also the point at which the snow cannons stop, so given its southerly aspect it can get patchy later in the season.

Really, this is a run of two halves - great for early intermediates up high but becoming more testing the further down you go.

If in doubt, bail out at the Croix Nore chairlift.

Either way, the views down the Durance valley are spectacular.

There is an introductory level boarder cross that starts just to the right of this piste.

Known as the 'Funny cross,' it's a great place to get a taste for this particular discipline of snowboarding and skiing before testing yourself out on the higher speed version in Chantemerle.
