Description

The G Chutes are the furthest chutes to hike to on the top of the Cirque.

G 1-4 are steep, expert-level couloirs with a good fall line, incredible views, and a sphincter factor of 10.

These chutes require a good hike to access, but can have some of the freshest snow in the resort.

To hike to Alphabet Chutes from South Headwall takes another 10-20 minutes depending on snow conditions and how far you want to traverse over.

Snow at the top of the Cirque can be windblown and crusty, with creamier snow below in the trees.

This area is not open very often.

Your best bet is February.
