Description

Immediately next to the Eychauda button lift, to the left on the way up, is an open face that just asks to be skied.

It has the odd rock on it and the large one near the bottom is jumpable in the right snow conditions.

The advantage of this slope is that you can maximise your ski time as it’s right next to the lift – no long transitions or hikes in between runs.

Just ride up and down.

Don’t get too blasé about the slope though.

Being right next to a lift it can feel like it’s not really off piste.

It most definitely is and avalanches can and do happen here.

If you end up getting too low to get back to the button lift you can either shoot down to the Clot Gauthier chairlift on the piste or traverse right towards the Bosse à Jules off piste sector.
