Description

This short couloir is the only way through Hunter's Rock that doesn't require mandatory air.

The rest of the cliff band known as Hunter's Rock is mostly impassable.

This narrow opening is literally a "hole" in this otherwise impassable cliff face.

Below the first switchback of Kelly's Gap Road, head down the fall line toward a band of trees.

Stay on the skier's right side of this tree band, looking for a shoulder width gap in the trees.

Follow this to where it opens again above the cliff.

Make sure you're on the right line, as the remainder of Hunter's Rocks is a two-tiered cliff that is not very forgiving.

Shimmy through the trees out into this fairly broad notch in the cliffs.

Below this funnel, the slope opens again to a wide glade.

Enjoy this section as it gets little skier traffic.

End on Kelly's Gap Road.
