Description

As you take the traverse over to Trainors, the gated "Extreme" terrain located on the far right-hand side of Aspen Mountain underneath Shadow Mountain, you'll find T5 by continuing on to Trainors ridge past several other drop in points.

This area is a bit more open, and you'll notice an obvious path into a chute as the trees are more open here.

Be careful, it takes a lot of snow to open this area of the mountain and any cliffs or pillows are almost always thinly covered.

Use your best judgement to determine the place you want to drop in.

The pitch isn't nearly as steep in this section and the trees are spread apart, but a fall in this area, where there are many hidden obstacles, rocks, and trees, could be serious.

This line is open to the interpretation of the skier- take your time and enjoy.

As you continue the fall line working the glade, the small pillows and other features you'll find here make for really desirable skiing that's for experts only, you'll find yourself back on the Summer Road.

Ski down this run or jump onto a groomer to go back to the Silver Queen Gondola or Lift 1A.
