Description
Surrounded by the recognisable towering rock cliffs of the Dolomites, this tour takes you to the summer of Sasso Pordoi, 2950m.
The mountain is directly connected to the Sella plateau which makes up a big percentage of the whole group. Starting at the base of the Sass Pordoi lift, head directly up to the right of the lift line.
You'll eventually reach the towering rocks walls, which you skirt around to the right.
From here, proceed through the gully and from the North side you can complete the final section up to the summit. Inspired by Shane McConkey, pro-BASE jumper Tim Howell came here and did the same ski BASE jump in homage to him.
This involved boot packing and an exposed traverse below the summit itself. www.facebook.com/TimHowellAdventure
