Description

A broad face that narrows into a steep chute before opening into Avalanche Basin, SE Throne Right can be deceiving.

The upper portion is dotted with trees, and route finding can be a challenge.

Keep the prominent rocky rib on your right to access the narrow chute.

Alternatively, find the shallow gully above the rocky rib for a rarely-skied chute that ends in the lower portion of Hogdoggle.

SE Right Throne is often baked by the sun and rarely skied.

In snowy conditions, watch for avalanches.

This 600 vertical foot run steepens towards the center, making it hard to retreat from if conditions are not favorable.

Access from the upper Southback gate at the summit of the Throne.
