Description

Employee Housing is a relatively new run.

In 2012, the ski patrol set off an avalanche that wiped out old trees and redefined this avalanche path.

Before 2012, Employee Housing was full of thick timber and only skiable on its upper portion.

Now, without the trees, this run offers 1500 vertical feet of consistent fall line.

This is a glorious run.

Enter through Gate 8 of Northway.

Note that hazards are not marked in this terrain.

This is experts-only avalanche-prone terrain.

Ski and ride with a partner and carry the proper equipment.

Hit I-5 towards the bottom to return to the Base Area.

Alternately, continue down lower Employee Housing to the actual employee housing neighborhood.

Work your way around the dorms, watching for cars.

Cross the road and pick up the parking lot shuttle at D Lot.
