Description

A classic of the area.

A gentle tour through the forest to reach a summit ridge with great views. Most of the route stays in the forest, initially following the fire road and then heading more directly towards the ridge up to Silver Peak.

There is lots of scope to vary the route up and down through the forest.

The terrain is never steep - sometimes not steep enough! - but there is some great skiing from the summit with plenty of scope to choose steeper pitch or stay on lower angled slopes as the conditions dictate. Be sure to head skiers left after the summit gully (you can also retrace your steps on the ridge) and not to join the fireroad too early for the descent as it's very flat!
