Analysing terrain data
Find amazingly deep turns here, even late into the day! Snake Main (82) is a combination of small natural rollers through widely spaced glades that opens up into a steeper pitch that will have you returning again and again to the Snake Ridge.
Take the Great Bear Express Quad up to the top of the Timber Bowl.
Exit on the left side of the chair and drop into the Cedar Bowl via the Cedar High Traverse (106A).
Keep your speed while dropping into the run as you will need to traverse to the other side of the Cedar Bowl.
Make it as far as you can and then hike up the defined cat track that takes you up to the Snake Ridge area.
Continue up the cat track until your at the high point of the ridge and can return to skiing, continue down the ridge for a couple hundred feet until you see the cat track split.
A smaller ski track will head left to an avalanche beacon gate leaving the resort.
Instead stay on the main cat track for another hundred feet until an opening on the right appears.
There should also be a sign here indicating the beginning of the run.
The run starts with some small natural rollers through some widely spaced trees before arriving on the main fall line, an open steep pitch.
When snow levels are low various small vegetation can be poking out yet for the majority of the season this pitch is wide open.
You may ski out of the run to the left onto Snake Glades (82A), but do not traverse out of the run on the right side as there are some small cliffs flanking the run there.
