"Mountain bike tour, downhill profile, allowing you to enjoy an uninteresting long walk. With the exception of a scabrous, steep and stony passage, the described route remains quite easy."

Description

"#### Crossing and descent towards Forclaz Pass From the upper station of the Prarion cable car, follow the signposted path of the Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc towards the head of La Charme and the mountain pasture of the same name.

Arrived at the alpine pasture at 1800 m take the track to the N stay on the side until you reach the cross of the Charm. From this point the route goes down a track to Les Combettes.

It is also possible to take a path through the forest between the Abbey and Les Combettes. After the Combettes take in the hairpin of the track another track on the right well indicated col de la Forclaz.

Follow this track until you reach the Col de la Forclaz, a small climb on the last third of the crossing. #### Descent from the Col de la Forclaz to Le Châtelard At the pass take the forest track on the left towards Vaudagne, go down by a relatively comfortable track at the beginning and then resembling a dry bed of torrent until Mont Borrel at 1300 m .

Leave the path on the right leading directly to Vaudagne and continue along the track passing through Montcoutant at 1174 m and Les Brions (old school).

Arriving at the place called Le Châtelard, the track is paved for the last few meters.

Do not enter the area of the "Route Blanche" holding with the train the full width of this end of the valley. #### Return by Servoz From Le Châtelard, at the end of the track, find a path indicated on the map but not indicated on the ground to the right in the slope of the road.

This short path joins the path of the Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc (marked out) allowing you to pass over the 2 road tunnels of Le Châtelard.

Steep and steep path, pushing and carrying is mandatory for this short passage. Arriving on a small paved road, cross the Arve on a bridge and take just after a track on the right bank of the river, reach a road bridge allowing you to cross the left bank of the Arve shortly before arriving at the SNCF station in Servoz.

Cross the railway track at the station and quickly find a track / track along the track to the place called La Fontaine.

From this place drive on a paved road and pass through the hamlet of Les Mouilles after crossing the Route Blanche by an underpass. After Les Mouilles follow the road leading to Vaudagne, it is possible to cut the bends of the road by a marked pedestrian path (steep).

Find at a hairpin of the road a track (automatic barrier) then a simple path allowing exclusively pedestrians and cyclists to reach the Vaudagne train stop and the hamlet of Les Chavants by the old historical road that led to the Chamonix Valley before 1870.

At Les Chavants, find the lower station of the Prarion cable car. "<br/><br/>_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
