Description

## Route In the direction of Borelli / Monzino. From Freney cross the left bank and take the road that goes down to reach the intersection with the road to the Borelli refuge (1/2h).

Go up to the Borelli refuge (via ferrata à l'ancienne - 2h1/2), follow the traces of paths (cairns) that lead to the attack on the S ridge of Peuterey. At the level of the attack on the pass, leave the cairns and cross horizontally to win the attack (platform, 1h). Two possible passages.

Two successive large yellow dots mark the beginning of the N passage.

This one is probably less equipped than the S.

Some jammers may be cautious.

Go up the corridor (a few steps of 3, spits and pitons every 10 m in the corridor S 1/2h). On the other side the descent route is newly fully equipped with continuous cables to the Fréney glacier. Get a foothold on the glacier (covered with stones, 1h 1/2) Leave the glacier very quickly to find yourself on beautiful flat slabs.

Crossing down, suspecting the seracs that threaten.

Or cross more directly at level if you want to reach the refuge to which you will have to go back after the crossing.

The glacier is well cracked and although it is largely covered with stones, the ice is visible enough for crampons to be necessary. Find the Monzino path at the top of the via ferrata (about 2300 m)

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
