Description

## Upward Take the path that joins in 30min the dam and the lake of Sassière.

The large valley is dominated by the Tsantéleina (3602 m) and the Aiguille de la Grande Sassière (3747 m). After leaving the path, which climbs to the Bailletta Pass, take the path along the lake.

It leads into a meadow, under the Tsantéleina.

We can see the glacier of Rhêmes Golette, at the bottom of the circus.

The path becomes steeper, and passes to the balcony above the stream of the Sassière.

After a nice little climb, we arrive at the foot of the glacier.

From the front of the glacier, it is debonair but crampons are recommended to climb to the pass. The Rhêmes Golette glacier, located due S, is directly affected by global warming and ice is rapidly appearing on the bottom of the glacier.

The ascent to the pass is fast, in about 30 minutes. ## Return By the same route.

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
