img=126510 right]Rake E - SW Slope and S Ridge[/img] ## Approach From[waypoints/104105|Selle refuge], cross in ascent until you reach the Selle glacier, about 3000 m away.

Continue eastward (flat) to reach the middle of the glacier, then climb NE (steeper) towards the SW slope of the Râteau (presence of seracs and crevasses). ## Track At around 3400 m, cross the rimaye as best as possible, then approach the face with a left-right movement.

Climb the following steep and suspended slope above high rocky bars.

Finally, reach the Pic E of the Râteau without difficulty, following the snowy S ridge.
