Description

## Upward Go up to the Argentière refuge.

From the refuge, go down to the Argentière glacier and cross it in ascent passing under the Courtes to reach the base of the corridor from the Col des Cristaux. Go up this corridor and exit on the right. ## Descent #### On skis A beautiful steep ski slope, less supported than its neighbour NE des Courtes.

Be sure to spot any ice patches as they rise.

We reach the Argentière glacier which we descend following its left bank to find the off-piste of the Grands Montets.

Stay on the left side of the glacier (sometimes very cracked and narrow route) and after a low slope area, exit the glacier upstream of a serac area around 2300 m to join the slopes or off-piste to Argentière.

In case of low snowfall, reach Lognan and the artificially snow-covered "Pierre à Ric" piste. #### On foot 3 possibilities : 1.

Go down the corridor from the Col des Cristaux (AD). 2.

From the Passage d'Amont, descend the mixed spur forming the left bank of the corridor (PD) 3.

Go down through broken rocks located on the right bank of the Crystal Corridor.

Then go down the corridor in the direction of the rocks, avoiding the many rock falls.

Cross the corridor to reach the left bank and pass the rimaye with a abseil (strap under a rock).

The descent by this route must be started very early because the snow transforms dangerously and the corridor is quite steep (40-45°).

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
