Description

## Ascent # 6-7h From the Dom hut go up the moraine for about 100 m and then cross over on the glacier. Go up the glacier always standing on its right bank.

Pass a cracked area near the rocks and end at a short flat spot (beware of treacherous bridges).

Continue on the right bank until you reach the foot of the Festijoch (3724 m; 2h15 from the hut), and attack straight into the W face (rimaye at 3820 m).

Go up the face as well as possible by aiming at the antecedent (pt 4479 m, 6h from the cabin).

Finish with the ridge that leads to the top. ## Descent # 1h to 3h depending on conditions and itinerary By the same route (TD-).

Ditto face W but after 300 m of altitude difference, turn right into corridors and then slopes back under the Festijoch (50°).

Rarely in conditions. #### Variants * Direct N side (AD+): around 4200 m instead of withdrawing to the right towards the Lenzjoch, dive straight into a valley between the 2 large serac beds (max slope 40°)...

beautiful atmosphere.

Be sure to spot it because it doesn't happen every year. * Face W (D+), direction WNW: join the Festigrat around 4380 m (just under a rimaye) Immerse straight into the face and then turn left.

at the bottom of the big snow, join the W ridge then go down between the ridge and the glacier to the foot of the Lucke Festi-kin.

cross the glacier to join the normal route around 3300 m.

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
