Description

[img=539342 right/] ##Itinerary - From the[waypoints/113048|Täschhütte] follow a path that crosses to the SE and then turns full E straightening up to 2760 m. - Then go up the Chummidomen valley, S of point 2876 m.

Stay on the right bank of the small stream you are going up, otherwise you risk getting lost on slopes made of boulders and schist. - We then reach the 3162 m lake (Alphubelsee) - Go up to the bottom of the S branch of the Alphubelgletscher (lake at 3301 m). - Go up SE (on the glacier or moraine that runs along it to the S) until you find the combe oriented S that goes down on the Mellichgltescher. - Go down about 100 m by a steep path in the W of the combe (cairns). - Set foot on the Mellichgletscher and climb up it, aiming for the Rimpfischsattel, passing at the foot of the first ridge around 3550 m, then the second ridge (point on the side 3662 m). - The glacier is seriously cracked from the second ridge (pt.

3662 m). ####Winter summit # 4001 m From the Rimpfischsattel, it is easy to reach the all-snowy winter summit at the W. ####Summit At the Rimpfischsattel, go up the snow corridor to the left (E), preferably through the left branch to 2/3 (no higher).

We take foot on the rock on the left, about at the level of a small breach that allows us to pass on the N side. Once on the other side, you rise by alternating snowy slopes (some ice near the rocks, up to 45°) and short climbs along the ridge.

If you miss this first passage, a short snowy crossing from the top of corridor N, to the left, leads to a small 15 m chimney, III+. From there, we reach the summit without difficulty of route.... ##Descending 2 variants: - by the ascent route - go down by the ascent route to the edge of the Mellich glacier (at the foot of the small morning descent).

Go down on the moraine to then find a path that joins the hut's itinerary 100 m below (same as on the ascent).
