Description

## Ascent from Rotenboden to Monte Rosahütte Follow the 1 m wide path on the moraine side, then stay on the plateau to arrive directly on the glacier without removing the skis (Be careful if there is less snow it is sometimes difficult to climb directly on the glacier and it is better to go down by the rocks, as indicated by blue arrows). Stay on the glacier, even under the hut of Mount Rose, keeping to the right until 3200 m.

(flat, bivouac possible) ## Upward From Monte Rosahütte take SE then cross a steeper jump around 3000/3100 m before entering the glacier.

From there, continue in a general SE direction until about 4000 m where the Pointe Dufour route separates from the Nordend route.

Take the S to Col Sattel (4360 m).

It is possible to mount skis up to 4500 m (S4). The edge has 4 sections: - Snow slope - Rock/mixed passage (PD, to be protected with rope or straps) - Snowy slope, maybe ice - Quite technical rock/mixed (AD) passage with the help of a rope on site ## Descent - By the same route. - Option to go down by the glacier to Furi or to go up to Rotenboden by train, about 250 m of additional altitude difference (*approx.

2h30*) !

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
