Description

On the outskirts of the small, Germanic town of Stromberg in the beautiful Rhineland-Palatinate is Flowtrail Stromberg.

It is a small but official, free bike park consisting of a skills area, a climb trail, and two downhill runs: "Wild Hog Trail" and "No Jokes Trail." It is hard to find good, fun, and technical trails specifically for mountain biking in many parts of Germany, but not here.

This small area is a great place to come and ride your bike.

The trails here are short, but they provide very worthwhile riding.

You can easily spend an hour to a few hours here, riding multiple laps and sessioning the skills area. The Wild Hog trail is the easier of the two downhill trails and is best suited to beginners and intermediate riders.

The trails wind through the gorgeous, dense forest on smooth tracks with fast, flowing berms and various technical features along the way.

All challenging features have ride-around options. The No Jokes trail is not detailed in this route but is easily spotted whilst riding this loop towards the start.

It is a short ~250m trail with very big gap jumps and some tall North Shore drops.

Riders with the suitable skills to ride such obstacles should add the trail on.

The trail finishes at the trailhead so you can easily start the loop again. The park is open April 1st to October 31st.

No shuttling or uplifts are permitted.

Since hunting is permitted here, night riding is not recommended.
