Description

From Cheresoulaz, take the gravel track to St.

Pantaleone and on to Col de Bornes.

Take in the views as you go over the Pista de Fonda before you gently ascend to Lago Cignana.

Pause at the beautiful lake for a breather before you tackle the steep climb up to Finestra di Cignana.

At this point you will need to get off and push for a while, before being rewarded by a fantastic descent, eventually coming to the Petit Bar and the Theodul Pass.

From the pass, you descend further down a gravel track to Furi and then Zermatt, the final destination of the Transalp. Celebrate your finish by soaking in the views of the Matterhorn, famous for being one of the highest mountains in the Alps (4,478m), its near-symmetrical peak, and for being the most photographed mountain in the world! **Sources** https://www.outdooractive.com/de/route/mountainbike-transalp/torino/westalpenroute-von-susa-nach-zermatt/1361724/#dmdtab=oax-tab3 https://www.mountainbike-magazin.de/touren/susa-zermatt/
