Description

Don't let the name fool you.

This narrow chute is one of the most challenging runs in the Crystal backcountry.

Adjacent to the avalanche-controlled terrain of Three Way Notch, Two Easy Turns is true backcountry.

Bring the proper equipment and always ski or ride with a partner.

Hazards include cornices, cliffs, rocks, avalanches and often mountain goats.

Approach is the same as Three Way Peak.

Scope your line carefully.

The entrance is tight and the couloir is narrow enough to require straight-lining the 1000 foot vertical chute.

The couloir forms just below the summit rock, with a narrow entrance choked with rocks just below the true summit.

Two Easy Turns is attempted only a handful of times a season.

Proceed with caution.
