Description

Oulettes de Gaube to Vignemale and descent to Refuge Baysellance. This is the Epic stage of the No Frontiers Route.

Today it is possible to climb the highest mountain of the French Pyrenees, the Vignemale.

However, although the summit is in the French side, the massif is in line with the border between France and Spain and recives also the name of Comachibosa in Aragonese. The Comachibosa or Vignemale is also considered one of the most beautiful mountains of the Pyrenees.

A profound admiration of many mountaineers such as Henry Russel, has become this mountain as an icon of the romanticism movement.
