Description

The funnel is very visible from Shirley Lake Express, so you can get a look at it while riding that chair.

To do laps on the Funnel, you have to take Shirley Lake Express to Emigrant, so it's 2 chair rides per run, but it's worth it when the snow is good.

From the top of Emigrant, turn left and cut back under the chair on a traverse to a gate.

Enter the gate and stay right for less steep or head left for steeper pitches.

The far left is known as the elevator shaft.

In low to average snow conditions, there will be a large rock at the narrowest part of the run.

Ski either left or right of the rock and then you are in Shirley Bowl where the run ends.
