Description

This well-defined chute lies directly below SE King Left, thus getting the most tracks.

While the entrance is fairly open, new trees have begun to obscure the top and may require some careful navigation depending on snow depth.

This chute avalanches regularly.

Ski or ride one at a time and keep an eye on your partner.

Divider Chute is a spectacular couloir, not too steep but narrow enough to require expert-level skiing and riding skills.

Once through the narrowest section, which is wide enough to link turns, Divider opens up to a beautiful face that mellows in steepness to a bench known as the Judges Knoll.

This reference harkens back to the now-defunct Powder 8s contest, where participant teams would ski Silver Basin in pairs and vie for prizes.
