Centerpiece is a double black diamond tree run that is suitable for serious EXPERTS ONLY.
Do not attempt this run if you are unsure as it dishes out steep and narrow tree lines with exposed rocks, ledges and moguls.
The best way to access this location is to take the Bear Mountain Quad and exit the lift to the left.
To access the tree run-in, get on to Outer Limits from the top and stay to skier’s right after you pass the head wall.
Look for the marked tree run Centerpiece at the catwalk on skier’s right and enter the trees there.
OR, you can get to this form the top of Devil’s Fiddle by staying to the far right after you unload off the Bear Mountain Quad and enter through the gate for Devil’s Fiddle and proceed all the way over to skier’s left.
Continue down a short way until you see where the catwalk dumps out and enter the trees here.
Once you are in, be ready for a real expert tree run.
This is exceptional on a powder day since there are a lot of exposed rocks, ledges and a small cliff added with a double fall line in spots.
There are several drop offs but this line is so good.
The best advice is to try it a few times until you find your favorite line.
This dumps out on the catwalk Space Walk, or on to Bear Cub if you stay in it the whole way down to the base.
This run is perfect for experts who are looking for a challenging double black diamond tree run in the Bear Mountain area.
