Spanky’s Ladder is the gateway to some of the highest quality ski terrain on either mountain.

Take the hike up to access some of the best expert ski terrain available in North America when the conditions are good.

This area is never groomed and is for expert skiers and riders only.

On powder days, the long line to access this terrain will be easily seen from the Glacier Express.

Follow the crowds and up the boot pack to access the goods that you’ll often overhear others raving about in the lift line.

It is 15-metres long and accessed by taking a left from the top of Glacier Express.

This area is also regularly closed during high avalanche conditions on stormy days, so check the light boards at any lift to be sure it is open! Lifts stay closed when necessary to keep people out of the area’s massive terrain, which can experience avalanches up to Class 4 in size.
