Description

The route is in principle marked out, but it takes a complicated combination of paths, tracks, road sections...

with an infinite number of junctions, difficult never to get lost...

a good map and the GPS track of the race can be very useful! We cross successively (in balcony on the left bank) Cimamulera - Meggiana - Castiglione - Porcareccia - Molini - Vigino - Boretta - Antrogna - Calasca - Barzona before going down to the bottom of the valley at Pontegrande (4h). The route continues through San Carlo - Vanzone - Croppo - Borgone - Ceppo Morelli (2 hours more).

We stay at the bottom of the valley until Prequartera before passing a small pass on the right bank through the hamlet of Morghen to reach Pestarena.

The whole end is on the N side (left bank) and often keeps the snow until April: we pass successively through Fornalei and Isella before taking the bridge on the right to go up to Macugnaga / Staffal (4h).

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
