Description

From Ossuccio, go up following the abundant indications for the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Soccorso.

The asphalted road gives way to a steep cobbled Via Crucis that climbs in hairpin bends towards the church.

Behind the Sanctuary, the path climbs up a few curves and then, leaving aside the path to the left to the Boffalora Refuge, continues on the path that has become a path; passing through a few huts, you walk for a long time in the woods, following the orography of the valley, always halfway up the hill and in a moderate climb in the woods.

Finally, we come to the Abbey of San Benedetto, once the seat of a Benedictine hermitage. The return path continues north of the church until it lowers to pass the stream at the bottom of the valley; on the opposite side it climbs narrowly up to the cableway for the materials of the abbey.

From here, a cart track descends rapidly into the woods until it leaves the narrow Perlana Valley above the village of Lenno.

On more open ground you continue to reach the Abbey of Acquafredda. Going down to the village, by intuition you look for the bridge over the Perlana reaching Ossuccio.

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
