Description

Paradise Chute #2 is the narrowest of the Paradise Chutes.

It is also a little hidden from the others and can hold good snow a little longer.

Enter Gate 6 and work left through the trees.

There is often a wind lip/cornice at the top, though the drop off below is not too challenging.

Your biggest concern should be if that cornice breaks off while you ski/ride over it as you enter this chute.

This slope avalanches regularly.

Carry the proper equipment and ski/ride with a partner.

The steepest section of this run is at the top.

The narrowest section is visible from the top.

Even this narrow section is still wide enough to make turns.

Below it opens to a nice apron.

Watch for avalanche debris and traverse tracks entering from the left.

Due to prevailing winds and trees, this chute stays protected and also fills in deeply with snow.

On a powder day, this run gets less tracks right off the bat than its neighbors.
