Description

From the SNCF station, reach Les Eaux Rousses by the Coupeau road at the start, then quickly take the first road on the right after the bridge over the railway line.

At the signposts follow the direction Christ Roi, parc de Merlet, refuge de Bellachat.

The ascent to Le Brévent follows the route of the TMB du GR5 and the Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc, difficult to get lost then, the markings are not missing.

Arrived on the road that goes to Merlet Park, go up a little and take the path on the left.

Then pass by the fences of the Merlet park.

After crossing the Lapaz torrent, a section equipped with metal steps passes through.

Arriving just before the last slope under the refuge, the crossing of the Vouillourds ravine requires a little attention. From the Bellachat refuge take the marked path towards the N, follow the direction of Le Brévent.

This "paved" path of large rocks rather follows the ridge, it offers a magnificent view of the Aiguilles de Chamonix and of course the Mont Blanc.
