Spectacular ring tour that allows you to admire up close the Forni Glacier, crossing the bed just below the first basal step, where until not many decades ago came the tongue. It can be travelled in both directions and is suitable for everyone.

Description

### Clockwise direction From the second car park in Piazzale de I Forni, follow the signs for Rifugio Branca.

You can reach it either by the cartroad covered by service jeeps or by passing through the more pleasant route of the Upper Alpe di Forni. From Branca you descend to the Rosole Lake below and enter the glacial valley on a well-marked and walkable path. Soon the two Tibetan bridges were reached, laid in succession to overcome the gorges. Climb up on the left orographic side on a good path (with a high path / low path variant) and close the ring reaching the bed of Frodolfo and, after crossing the bridge, gaining the starting point. ### Variant For a wider and more articulated excursion, start from Santa Caterina, go up to Forni per sentieri and asphalt road, go around the bridges and, on the way back, keep to the left side of the valley and, passing through Cerena and Lussena, on a well-marked and spectacular path in the passage of a stick, go back to Santa Caterina.

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
