Description

## Parking In the village of Vaulion or at the exit of the village, at the junction (pt 977) where there is room for a few cars. ## Upward From point 977, go up along the small country road to Le Plâne. At the exit of Le Plâne, a footpath sign indicates" "Dent de Vaulion"" direction NW.

The small road climbs up to La Mâche farm where it becomes a path along the ridge, first below the ridge and then on it. At the junction a little after point 1350, follow the snowshoe markings or "Trail Vallée de Joux" following the top path that remains on the ridge.

Small final slope a little steep to reach the summit. ## Several descent variants: * By the same route. * Going down through the Chalet de la Dent de Vaulion and the forest road to the crossing just before the Chalet de la Dent Dessous.

At the crossing, turn left and take the lowest forest track to reach the above-mentioned junction.

The rest of the descent is done by the ascent path. * Other possibilities by returning through the mountain pastures further downstream (Le Cerney, Les Frêtes) to return to Le Plâne.

_This Adventure has been shared under the [Creative Commons Share Alike](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/) licence._
