Description

Zero G is the equally steep neighbor to Spacewalk but is slightly harder to find.

Due to it’s elusiveness, the line is possibly more consequential because missing the entrance means you are probably hanging out over a massive cliff.

However, score this line in prime conditions and you'll find plenty of fuel to stoke your steep skiing fire.

To access Zero G, exit the backcountry gate atop Rendezvous Bowl at the south end (same for Spacewalk, and Cody Peak).

Descend the fall line from the gate veering slightly skier’s right.

Perhaps the easiest way to discern the entrance is to find the entrance to Spacewalk first.

Once you have that entrance located, traverse horizontally to the skier’s right past the grouping of pine trees.

Zero G starts in a mini-bowl which is often wind effected, but from above you should be able to assess conditions, as well as see down the chute.

If you can’t see all the way through it, you’re most likely not in the right place.

A great landmark to spot at the bottom of the chute is a large pinnacle of rock sitting in the middle of the runout.

This run is incredibly steep, so bring your A-game in terms of snow assessment and technique.

From the basin below, connect with the Green River boot pack, or continue into Rock Springs Canyon.
