The Ténibre, which culminates at 3031 m, is the highest point in Haute Tinée. The circuit, which is looped from Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée, accesses it via Lac des Rabuons, which is the largest lake in the Maritime Alps, and is accessed via Plan de Ténibre. The loop route is less difficult, shorter in distance and duration than the round trip route. This hike can be done in 1 day or 2 days by staying at the Rabuons refuge.
