Description

The day starts with a huge climb up the Kleine Scheidegg Pass, which translates to “minor watershed” in English.

At an elevation of 2,061m, confusingly, it's in fact bigger than its sister pass the Große Schiedegg.

The views, climbs, and descent are totally spectacular.

Rising above the sheer rock faces and fractured glaciers, you’ll spot the world-famous triumvirate: Eiger, Mönch, and the Jungfraujoch.

From the pass, you'll fly down to the glamorous town of Mürren, enjoying a fantastically long unadulterated stretch of singletrack.

At Mürren, carry on to Lautterbrunnen along a dirt road and then jump on a bike path to Wilderswil, Interlaken, Meielisalp, and finally Leissigen.

Leissigen sits on the banks of the humongous and exceptionally beautiful Lake Thun.

This whole area around Lake Thun is known to be one of the most stunning in all of Switzerland, so plan an extra rest day here if you want to explore more.

Be aware, like every famously pretty place, there are likely to be flocks of tourists in peak season, so book early to bag the best accommodation options with great views of the lake.
