Ideal if you want to end a longer mountain bike tour with a highlight.

The Koppenwinkel Lake is a true Salzkammergut powerhouse waiting for us to soak up the energy of this magical place. The tour Obertraun - Koppenwinkelsee starts preferably at the parking lot near Gasthaus Koppenrast.

However, there are also 2 - 3 free parking spaces at the municipal office (approx.

10 minutes longer) and a larger car park at the Obertraun lido, which are good places to start.

From the starting point Koppenwinkel Rast you can already go inside to the Koppenwinkelsee.

Attention! The small natural ground usually shrinks in summer and has only very little water, one or the other biker stood in his swimming trunks in front of the half-empty "lake"! After a few hundred meters we pass the Koppenwinkelalm, until the track leads us further over the Hagenbach and Bühlerbach.

Next we take the hiking trail 3 of the direction Dachstein Krippenstein cable car leads.

At the valley station of the cable car we can now take the asphalt road or make a detour to Bike Arena Obertraun (for advance booking and price information call 06131 239 at BSFZ Obertraun).
