Description

This is perfect in powder and spring snow conditions.

F Tree Faces south.

It is one of the longer and more consistent slopes at Alpine Meadows.

This is a wide open slope that is relatively steep. Access to this slope is from either the Alpine Bowl Chair or the Summit Express Lift.

Exit left from the Alpine Bowl Chair and hike up to the Upper Saddle or take the same route from the Summit Six Lift.

Continue side stepping up to the top of Keyhole and then ski down and cross the Lower Saddle baring right.

Look for a tree in the shape of an “F”.

You should be looking down the wide open slope and be able to see the bottom of the Sherwood Chair from this point.

The lower portion of the slope is skied more often and can be accessed from the top of the Sherwood Chair.

The top portion of this run tends to be smooth while the lower section may have moguls and is more heavily skied. Avoid this slope when conditions are firm
