Analysing terrain data
From the Olympic Bowl black diamond run, find Deception on skier's left.
This run is wide-open, with a perfect fall line from top to bottom.
Its westerly aspect may not always have the best snow, but after a good bit of new snow enjoy 500 vertical feet of excellent wide-open trees.
The beginning is mellow compared to other runs in the Olympic Bowl area, but as it continues past about 100 feet of flatter terrain, it immediately plunges back into steep and aggressive skiing right to the cat track.
This run is a great double black option for skiers who don't like skiing in dense trees but want to ski steeper runs which are accessible by lifts.
