Description

A run of two halves.

Starting in a steep glade, wiggle through the trees past a monument for long-time local Paul Melby to a steep open apron.

The lower part of this run is known as Snake Pit.

The glade above this feature was opened during the Gondola construction and is now referred to as Melby's.

Specifically Melby's refers to the location where Paul Melby died in a tree well.

This run is a local's favorite, with its easy access but relatively obscure location; it often holds fresh snow longer than its more obvious neighbors.

This is steep terrain is prone to avalanches and contains deep tree wells.

Ski with caution.
