Most narrow of the Gold Hill Chutes

Gold Hill 8 is a double black extreme run, and is the most narrow of all Gold Hill Chutes.

Gold Hill 8 can be accessed by hiking a groomed cat track from the Revelation Lift (lift 15).

Get off of this lift and to your left is the access gate to the Gold Hill Chutes.

Getting in to this chute can make for a rocky start, so be sure to tread lightly.

The hike is steep in some spots but is doable because the track is groomed and well maintained, the hike should take you around 35 minutes.

This run is consistently very steep and narrow, which can be intimidating to some.

This would be a great run for extreme skiers looking for practice with skiing backcountry lines in the area, as this chute is similar to a lot of terrain you would see in the backcountry.

The snow inside of Gold Hill 8 stays pretty good, which helps to keep this run open more consistently than some of the other chutes.

This chute will spit you out into Palmyra Basin, where you can find great snow and sometimes, untracked lines in the powder.
