Description

This is one of the lines off of the Palisades.

To access, exit Siberia Express, turn left towards the Patrol Shack and check signs to make sure the Palisades are open.

Take your skis off and hike up the ridge line to the top of Squaw Peak.

When on top, pass by the Chimney, and Main chutes, Extra Chute will be the 3rd main chute.

This is the 2nd most difficult, main chute in the Palisades.

You can make turns or straight line it into Siberia Bowl.

Be careful when exiting into Siberia Bowl as the traverse tracks have caused more than a few falls.

There is often a right to left exposed, short, traverse to get into the main part of Extra chute that makes it a little easier.
