Description

To access the Maxfield Basin, park and head up the Mill A North drainage, approximately 7 miles up the road in Big Cottonwood Canyon.

This is a winding gully that works its way up towards Mount Raymond.

Follow the gully for several miles until it widens up and opens up.

From here cut off to the left/W and head towards the ridge.

Once you're on the ridge continue working your way along until you top out above Maxfield Basin. From the high point on the ridgeline to Mount Raymond, this is a fun open slope in the upper thirty degree angle.

There are fun tree lanes and ally's that work for hundreds of feet at a consistent pitch.

Trend left and continue to descend staying on the left side of the creek as you get lower in the gulch.

Continue following out the drainage until it connects with the Mill A gully, and ski all the way back to the road.
