Analysing terrain data
Great Eastern is the LONGEST trail at Killington.
To access this location from the top, take the Superstar Express Quad and exit straight off the lift and over to the crest of the backside of Killington Peak.
Veer left as you descend into Gateway, which is a very wide intermediate trail.
You will not be on this long.
Stay to skier’s left and enter on to the top of Great Eastern.
This is the trail to take if you want to try out the longest run in the resort.
You will go through some cool landscapes, including going over a bridge.
The trail even crosses over East Mountain Road and cuts through some great ski house territory.
You will have many chances along the way to connect on to other trails and lifts (way too many to mention).
There is snow-making on this run, as well as a lot of fun turns to make.
Be aware of people bombing the run, especially on the switchbacks down to the Skye Ship Stage I base area.
This trail gets varied light and is perfect for people looking for the longest run in the resort or for connecting on to other trails and lifts on Skye Peak and Bear Mountain.
