Description

The Mushroom Chutes are tight, slotted paths through steep and potentially hazardous terrain.

The Chutes are not numbered or defined, so getting to know them requires exploration.

The area exists between Tower Three Chute and Hoops Gap in the north facing trees.

Get there by riding below the Thunder Lift Line just past the upper section of Tower Three Chute, once you pass the rope line on your left and enter the tree alleyway, the Mushroom Chutes are on your skier’s left.

Duck in wherever you see fit.

There are no sections where the trees are too tight to navigate, but tread slowly as there are a few very large cliffs! There are a few signs indicating hazardous terrain, but it’s too big and convoluted an area to mark everything.

You may think you know where you are, but may in fact be lost.

Fear not, as there will be a path through the trees and boulders if you take the time to assess your situation.

The Mushroom Chutes are north facing and protected by trees.

Because of this, this area is one of the most prime areas for powder skiing.

If you dig steep, tight tree skiing you will want to take a ride through here for sure!
