Description

This trail provides many options for a leisurely stroll from your campsite or lodging at Lake Louise.

It’s a loop that’s accessible from many places in the village, including the railway station restaurant, village market, tent campground, and trailer campground.

You don’t have to hike far from any of these busy areas to feel immersed in nature on this trail. You’ll walk beside the rushing water of the Bow River, sometimes tracing the bank, sometimes set back in the forest, and sometimes crossing on bridges.

You'll see many perspectives on the landscape, including views of surrounding mountains.

You can find an abundance of seasonal wildflowers, mushrooms, and wildlife if you look carefully, and you’ll encounter some signs that teach about ecology and history.

The trail is mostly flat, with a surface of smooth dirt and gravel.

It’s suitable for baby strollers, and dogs are allowed if kept on a leash, making this trail perfect for the entire family, or for anyone seeking an easy and accessible hike. Sources: https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/ab/banff/activ/randonee-hiking/lakelouise
